Le Marche is often called ‘the best kept secret of Italy’ and not without reason! The region is situated in the middle of the Italian boot, in between the Apennines and the Adriatic Sea. You will find that everything is at a relatively short distance: breathtaking medieval towns where time seems to have stopped, untouched natural parks with high mountains, hilly areas with astounding panoramic views, the coastline and, of course, delicious Italian food.
The region is almost 10.000 km2 and home to about 2.5% of total Italian population; a bit more than 1.5 million people. They are friendly, hospitable and authentic, mostly farming families
Le Marche has a very pleasant climate; compared to the UK, Le Marche has 700 more hours of sunshine on average per year!
